Welcome to Rho Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln!

“Yesterday, today, and tomorrow Kappa Alpha Theta exists to nurture each member throughout her college and alumnae experience, and to offer a lifelong opportunity for social, intellectual and moral growth as she meets the higher and broader demands of mature life.”

Greetings!

If you’re hoping to learn more about the amazing sisterhood of Kappa Alpha Theta - Rho Chapter, you’re in the right place! Take some time to explore and get a glimpse of what it truly means to be a Theta. College goes by faster than you expect–it feels like just yesterday I was walking around campus trying to find my first class, clueless as can be. Since coming to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, my experience has been shaped by the incredible women who make up Rho Chapter. Through Theta, I have built lifelong friendships and found a support system that constantly encourages me to grow into the best version of myself.

When I first came to Lincoln for college, I was nervous as I knew nobody in Greek life here nor did I really know anybody. Going through recruitment, I was naturally drawn to Theta. One of the first things that drew me to Theta was the strong commitment to academic excellence shared by all members. As women of Kappa Alpha Theta, we hold ourselves to high academic standards, and Rho Chapter is consistently ranked among the top Greek houses at UNL in average GPA. We offer a variety of incentives and resources to support academic success, and our scholarship committee plays a huge role in keeping members motivated and on track.

Service is also a huge part of who we are. Our members are passionate about our national philanthropy, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), as well as local service opportunities. Throughout the year, we host events like Taco Bout CASA, Cookies and Cream for CASA, and Theta week of service. You will often see our sisters participating in campus-wide initiatives such as Dance Marathon, along with volunteering in the community. Beyond service, Theta women are highly involved across campus and frequently take on leadership roles in other organizations. For instance, we are proud to say the Panhellenic Association President at UNL is a sister of Rho Chapter. We are so proud of her!

Beyond academics and involvement, what truly sets Theta apart is the genuine support and love shared among members. This is a place where you will find your closest friends, your home away from home, and a second family. Whether you need encouragement after a long day, someone to relax with, or a friend to celebrate your accomplishments, Theta offers all of that and more. Life in this chapter is full of meaningful moments and lasting memories.

The women of Rho Chapter are intelligent, driven, compassionate, and strong. It is an honor to serve alongside them and to be part of such an inspiring community. I confidently feel my best when I am surrounded by these women. I hope you enjoy exploring our website and getting to know our sisterhood a little more.

May Theta love guide you, Theta faith keep you, and Theta hope sustain you.

Theta Love & Mine,

Reese Keetle
